Staff Information

Lakeview employs staff who are approved by The Department of Education & Early Childhood. Before commencement each potential employee must be cleared by the police with no criminal history and registered with Working with Children.

Our staff are encouraged to participate in professional development in order to broaden and upgrade their skills.

Our director, Janette, is responsible for the overall management of the centre in conjunction with the Proprietor.

The centre maintains correct staffing ratios as defined by the Children’s Services Regulations 1998. Staff are responsibly trained in providing care and education programs in early childhood settings.

Programs are continually evaluated to ensure they meet the developmental needs of the children in the group.

During all hours of operation there is at least one staff member with a First Aid and C.P.R. Certificate.

We support the concept that child free preparation time is desirable. However, it is conditional on the availability of the Director to maintain child/staff ratios.

Additional staff may be employed to assist children with Special Needs with the help of an approved Government Funding.
